Hyatt Assistant Manager - Front Office in MELBOURNE, Australia

Award-winning luxury hotel, Park Hyatt Melbourne seeks an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join the Front Office team on a full-time basis. With the support of the Manager – Front Office, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the hotel in accordance with the established brand standards of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Ensuring the highest standards of customer service are met by efficiently processing the allocation and check in of arriving guests, receiving payments, posting transactions, check out departing guests and promptly attending to all guest enquiries and requests.

Further duties include generation and distribution of management reports, allocation of rooms for the following day, billing arrangements for guests, regular inspections of the hotel premises, prompt attendance to any issues in all departments. As well as the planning of rosters, delegation of tasks and responsibilities to staff and overseeing their performance while assisting them in their duties and ensuring all employees deliver the brand promise.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have: * Minimum two year’s experience as Assistant Manager or Team Leader in Front Office within a five star hotel environment with experience in Opera systems * Diploma level or higher qualification in business or hotel management would be of an advantage * Exceptional interpersonal, communication (with advanced proficiency of the English Language) and time management skills with a strong ability to multi-task. * Superior customer service skills along with excellent service resolution skills. * The capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team. * The ability to work well under pressure and possess a great attention to detail. * The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of five star grooming standards. * The flexibility to work on a rotating 24/7 roster, including public holidays.
