You will be the culinary face of our food and beverage team through your ‘stage’ The Montagu Kitchen, your focus will be on making The Montagu Kitchen a destination restaurant in the West End. You will, also be responsible for the smooth running of the Banqueting, Room Service, Pastry Kitchens and Stewarding. Working alongside the Director of F&B, you will be a passionate leader who will inspire, mentor and grow your team of Chefs. Your team includes Head Chefs, Sous Chefs, a Pastry Chef and Stewarding Manager, along with 60 colleagues. Your goal will be to ensure all Kitchens operate successfully through efficient management as individual profit centres, and in line with brand, hotel and health, safety and hygiene standards.

This hands-on role provides the perfect opportunity for a charismatic and customer focused professional leader who believes in excellent food and service. You will set clear strategies and goals to enhance our colleague and guest experiences, and at the same time maximise revenues and control costs.

The Montagu has been awarded two AA rosettes and prides itself on being a neighbourhood restaurant where you can enjoy thoughtfully sourced food from independent British farms and the local award-winning suppliers.

An experienced Executive Chef, you will already be actively involved in the London Chef community and will have an extensive culinary background, preferably in the 5* luxury hotel market and/or premium free-standing restaurants. Well versed with the current F&B trends, youwill already have previous London experience.

Highly creative you will have the ability to develop new concepts and be a self-motivated and a strong influencer, able to communicate effectively at all levels. A natural coach, you will feel comfortable training and mentoring a large team of multi-national people. Developing your team will be one of your priorities, as will creating a supporting and caring environment that allows your people to be their best.

With a passion for excellent service, your attention to detail will be second to none. You will be happy to be hands on, but be prepared to unleash your team to meet their full potential. Experienced in effective rostering to meet business requirements, you will also ensure efficient productivity levels.
