Hyatt Housekeeper (Full Time) in US, Hawaii

Description:
Destination Residences Hawaiiis an independent collection within the Hyatt Lifestyle portfolio. We are located at Mauna Lani Resort on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island. The /Housekeeper/ is a key member of the Housekeeping Team who impresses our guests from the moment they walk into their lodging accommodation and each day throughout their stay. The primary responsibility is to provide quality cleaning of condominium, residences and other designated areas.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Daily cleaning of condominiums or residences for rental guests and property owners, which includes: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, making beds, emptying rubbish, scrubbing counters, sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets.

  • Communicating guest requests to appropriate department.

  • Notifying supervisor of work that needs to be done, for example carpets cleaned and maintenance repairs.

  • Deep cleaning of units when assigned

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is someone with the following skills and abilities:

  • Speak, read, and write in the English language.

  • Available and willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.

  • Team player able to work under minimal supervision.

  • Sense of urgency and willingness to work hard.

  • Well-groomed professional appearance and the Spirit of Aloha.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

  • Safety operate a golf cart, van, or other vehicle provided for transportation to assigned work areas.

  • Access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated per requirements of all laws.

  • Ability to lift 26 pounds on a regular basis, walk up and down three (3) flights of stairs while carrying equipment, and meet the physical and mental health standards deemed necessary for performance of essential functions of the position.
