This positionof Direct of Sales of Hyatt Regency & Hyatt Place Zurich Airport The Circle (554 guest rooms) and The Circle Convention Centre (1500 persons theatre style)will report to the Regional Vice President – Sales Operations, CEE. General responsibilities and accountability will be to ensure the hotels’ and convention center’s top line revenue goals are achieved to support a quick ramp up.The final objective is to position The Circle as a new destination in Europe for conventions, congresses and other large events. This position requires frequent international travel to assignedgeographical areas and consists of proactive planning and execution of sales plans and strategies which ultimately stimulate demand for room nights associated with large conventions, product launches and other corporate meetings and related event revenues.Initially, this position will be based at the Regional Office of Hyatt International EAME, located at Zurich-Airport, and the position will then move to the pre-opening office – Hyatt Regency & Hyatt Place Zurich Airport / The Circle & The Circle Convention Centre Zurich Airport.

Position Responsibilities /Key Roles and Priorities(including but not limited to): * Work with RVP Sales Operations CEE to review business projections for the two hotels and the convention centre at Zurich Airport, develop & execute sales plans which support revenue generation. * Prepare expense budgets and ensure most effective use of funds available to support business objectives. * Accountable for the achievement for rooms and event sales within the geographical scope of his/her responsibility. * Responsible for developing sales strategies for defined segments, target and attract the most profitable rooms and events business. * Develop pre-opening plans in a strategic and brand focused manner. * Target international “large meeting & congress profiles” with a lead time of 2 years from a target sample customer base consisting of general assemblies, associations, projects in cooperation with Zurich & Swiss Convention bureaus, international PCOs and Corporate accounts. * Drive customer centricity through sales activation, sales missions, familiarisation trips and trade show attendance in key feeder markets. * Understand the importance of “story telling” and brand-led experiences. * Cooperate closely with the sales team of Park Hyatt Zurich. * Cooperate closely with Hyatt Sales Force and other hotel sales teams. * Constantlymonitor andevaluate local, national and international market trends,and the competitorhotels’ and competitive congress center initiatives. * Work closely together with the regional Revenue Team to define the hotels’ pricing strategies for rooms & events. * Understand the distribution channel mix, trends and landscape in the region in order to build strategy that will drive business to proprietary and the most relevant, cost effective channels. * Initiate promotions & special offers. * Effectively use Envision to manage group leads and client activities. * Create and sustain a work environment that focuses on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success. * Develop a trusting and respectful business partnership with the project’s ownership.
